Merry Monday: Snowflakes and Winter Wishes

I promised myself that I would begin Christmas cards ASAP this year so what better way than to play along with the first Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!?  Plus, I still have Christmas stuff in my NBUS stash (never-before-used schtuff) that I need to use before I can begin purchasing new Christmas stuff later this year!

The current Merry Monday challenge is "snowflakes" and to my surprise, I didn't have any snowflakes - neither stamps nor dies - in my NBUS stash.  I did have this "Winter Wishes" die.  Since I'm not totally feeling Christmas right now, I decided to let paper do the work for me!

Winter Wishes

I added a few sparkly sequin snowflakes down the side and a glittery bird.

I deliberately looked for a paper in blues and with a darker look because I love the Merry Monday Inspiration graphic for "snowflakes"!

SUPPLY LIST

The sparkly bird is a Michael's Recollection sticker but I've had it for years.  The "sparkling snowflakes" are from Memory Box.  I've had them for years also, and I'm not even seeing that Memory Box sells embellishments any more.  The paper is an older collection from Bo Bunny - Woodland Winter.  I used a piece from the 6x6 pad but I cannot find it to link it.  There are numerous sources of various pieces of the 12x12 patterns.

  2. Your NBUS is like opening a Pandora Box! :-)
My own pile is endless, quite an achievement if I may say so, ha, ha.
And it didn't even take a long time to grow into such a big pile of stuff.
Your card is beautiful, love the little shimmery bird ( I just love bling, can't help it) and the bling snowflakes.
The color blue and all the white trees, such a gorgeous combo!
Not neccessarily a christmascard, but it sure has a frosty feel. :-)
    Bye,

  7. This is very, very pretty. The blue background gives this a very moody look. And by that I mean moody in a good way!

  8. If paper will do the work, why fight it? I love that paper although I was searching to see what stamp the trees were since I love a good birch. All the embellishments finished it off just right.

  17. ....THUD! Jaw-dropped, breath-taken-away. I adore this card, Kim...so incredibly beautiful! Are those lovely birches stamped, or are they part of the paper's design? Either way: WOW! You've created a stunning winter wonderland...
