Sophisticated Spooks

I have officially decided that I am going to use Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio (MDS2) for scrapbooking.  My decision is so final that last week, I loaded the entire back end of my Suburban with all of my scrapbook papers, etc. and donated it all to Kasey's Krafts - a wonderful organization that creates craft kits for use by parents and kids during lengthy chemo sessions.  (Kasey is a charming little girl who has been through four rounds of chemo in her eight short years of life.  Her mom, sister, grandma and great-grandma create all of the kits.  I can connect you with any of them if you would like more info.)

I absolutely love what I have seen done with My Digital Studio (check out Heather's blog) and I know that is the only way I will ever get my scrapbooks done.  I figure I get enough hands-on crafting with cards, so can go digital with scrapbooks. But I loved this week's MDS downloads and I thought they were perfect for a "vintage Halloween"-loving friend, so tried a card!

Halloween Witch
It does look very dimensional, but in reality everything is printed except for the ribbon, button and three little gems in the lower left!
My layout comes from Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

  • Digital Product: MDS2 Sophisticated Spooks, Decorate Overlay Flourish Collage
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up ribbon (from current mini), Kraft Corduroy button (retired), misc gems, crochet thread

OMGosh!LOVE this card-did I say I LOVE it already, seriously this is amazing!!!! I too adore MDS2 and really love the versatility it allows you with your paper crafting. You did a fabulous job getting the elements to look 3 dimensional. Thanks so much for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday this week!

Wow! This is sensational! I didn't realise it was a single layer ... Looks really dimensional! That "word witch" is fantastic. Very jealous. We have just got MDS CDs without the actual programme. I feel I want to hang out for the downloadable ... But that could be another couple of years! Go figure! Hugs xxx

You are just churning out the cards, Kim! I miss having you come by my place, but am not surprised when I have trouble keeping up with all the inspiration you provide to others, day after day!

The Halloween cards are spectacular! I adore that "ghoul-friend!"

I can't even imagine how excited they were at Kasey's Krafts with your generous gift!!

Wow, that is a drastic measure--donating ALL your SB stuff! BUt I just LOVE this image and layout...I can see why MDS is so appealing. I just haven't jumped on that bandwagon yet, but I really should!

Hey Kim, good for you for jumping in. I am to scared to try it even though I bought it. I love this download. I wish I had someone close to help me out. Beautiful card. Hugs, Bev
