U Are Amazing

Today's card plays along with three challenges: the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge, the Sweet 'n Sassy Wednesday Challenge (as found on Splitcoast) which is to do reverse masking, and the  Color Throwdown.

I like the subtle colors with just a pop of Poppy!  And I always like the look of a little sponging because you can go lighter in the middle and give it a "glow" - although I should have kept the "glow" lower so "amazing" stood out!!

The sketch:

The colors:

  • Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy You
  • Paper: Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride
  • Ink: Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Chocolate
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up Embossing folder and flower punch, misc leaf punch, Martha Stewart glitter blue, misc red ribbon

Gorgeous design Kim. Love the dark edges on the layers that echo the border lines on the sentiment panel. :)

What a great take on the sketch! I love how the crumb cake takes center stage and the poppy parade just jumps off the card!
