A clean&simple Cupcake!

I am having one of those cardmaking days - I almost like this card.  And I have spent way too much time trying to figure out how to really like it.

I picked the cupcake for the Splitcoast CAS challenge today which was to ... use cupcakes!!  I had the tag die on my desk because I haven't used it since I got it and need to use it a lot to make it worth the purchase.  Then I was feeling creative as I tried to put my own spin on the Fall To Layout from clean&simple.  Even with all of that inspiration...I am still "almost" happy.

I think I will clean up the pile that has accumulated on my craft desk (this always happens when I am struggling with a card...I just keep pulling stuff out to try), then brew a fresh cup of coffee and try to find other card inspiration.  Oh...darn...I just look at the clock...and I already have to wake up the rest of the family.  (I'm a terrible mom who doesn't let their kids sleep all day on school breaks because it's too hard to get them back to a normal schedule!)  So I will see how willing and able they are to entertain themselves on a chilly, rainy day - and hopefully find some more stamping time!

Love the cheerful colours Kim and that double bow is fab :)
Now I need to go and tidy my craft room before I can start anything else!

  6. Once again ... I can totally relate. Sometimes there is just something about a card that prevents you from "loving it"! But ... I think you need to be a little more kind to yourself. This is a gorgeous card. I love the beautiful ribbon. Hugs xx
